Ruth Kogen Goodwin is a writer and editor based in Southern California. Her work has appeared in Popular Science, The Boston Globe, Huffington Post, and Salon.com among other publications. Ruth obtained her undergraduate degree in Writing/Literature from the University of California, San Diego and went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from American University in Washington, DC. 

Ruth’s writing and editing career spans more than two decades. She has served as managing editor for both literary and academic publications, taught college level courses in rhetoric and literature, and managed and organized large literary and academic events. She now works as a freelance writer and editor, creating content suitable for a wide range of audiences.
